In 1996 my husband and I moved to Arlington attracted by the sense of community and the quality of the school system. As a member of the School Committee, I will advocate for creating a high-quality educational experience that is shared by all of Arlington's children.As a parent of two children in our school system, an educator for the past fifteen years and someone who has and will continue to advocate for sensible education reform at both the State and Federal level, I have decided to run for the Arlington School Committee.
I have spent the past thirteen years working for a more effective elementary and secondary education system in the Commonwealth. Today, as a K-8 Math coach, I work with over sixty teachers in the Malden School System. I've served on several curriculum development committees and have provided professional development for teachers.
I know firsthand that a community cannot educate children well unless it supports its teachers, so I continue to play an active part in my teacher's union.
I respectfully ask for your support and one of your three votes on Saturday, April 5th.
